5 Helpful Scriptures For Strength In A Hard Time

No one likes difficult times and yet we cannot escape them. However, whatever the trials that we are going through we are not alone, the God of peace and all joy is with us at all times

His eyes see everything that is happening and he will always support us. We do not always understand what is happening, and why it is happening, but one thing we are sure of:

we are more than conquerors because of the One who loved us from the beginning. Do not despair, for you are a child of the Father of hope, and do not give up, for you are an heir of the God of perseverance.

When our whole little world is completely shaken, we are left with two solid foundations: God is GOOD and God is FAITHFUL. He never lets us down and there is no problem He doesn’t already have a solution for. So during these difficult times, cling to His Word for it is powerful to strengthen and uplift us.

Engage in these few bible verses to help you during this difficult time and the holy spirit will also comfort you.

1 PETER 5:10 KJV “BUT THE GOD OF ALL GRACE, WHO HATH CALLED US UNTO HIS ETERNAL GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS, AFTER THAT YE HAVE SUFFERED A WHILE, MAKE YOU PERFECT, ESTABLISH, STRENGTHEN, SETTLE YOU.

Suffering is one of God’s tools to change our hearts and mold our character into His image and likeness. We often pray “Lord change me!” we deeply desire to be transformed and to resemble more and more our Jesus; but let us understand that the path leading to the transformation of the heart is through intense pain, humiliation from the society, and stressful trials.

In our journey in life, God restores us one step at a time according to his original plan for our life, He will guild us so that we will not be led into fears, intimidation, and abandonment; He strengthens us by making us stronger, more resistant, more zealous Christians and He makes us unshakeable! What does being steadfast mean? No matter what happens, I don’t deviate from my path.

Why are champions considered champions? Because they are unshakable: they are not afraid of anything, they don’t let anything stop them or question their cause and this is what God wants to make of us: champions. He makes us go through rigorous training.

So don’t give up along the way: all of this pain is birthing the champion God wants you to become.

JEREMIAH 29:11 KJV  “FOR I KNOW THE THOUGHTS THAT I THINK TOWARD YOU, SAITH THE LORD, THOUGHTS OF PEACE, AND NOT OF EVIL, TO GIVE YOU AN EXPECTED END.

Wow, this passage gives us peace and release God’s pleasure in our heart. God knows what He is doing; He has already planned everything, no need to worry. The purpose of His plan for your life is HAPPINESS.

None of this will lead to misfortune! Today your situation seems hopeless, disastrous, your dream shattered and your hopes are gone, but as hard as it is to believe, all this will lead to HAPPINESS. The affliction of any kind is unlawful in the Kingdom of our God. So if your plans fail, that’s okay, they had to fail for the Lord to succeed.

The quicker our plans fall through, the quicker those of God come to pass. He knows better than us what will make us HAPPY, and if we trust in him with the whole of our hearts, our future will be Glorious with him.

Are you in a very difficult situation right now? Hold on tight for ahead in the future you will find oases of hope and lakes of prosperity.

PSALMS 126:5-6 KJV “THEY THAT SOW IN TEARS SHALL REAP IN JOY. HE THAT GOETH FORTH AND WEEPETH, BEARING PRECIOUS SEED, SHALL DOUBTLESS COME AGAIN WITH REJOICING, BRINGING HIS SHEAVES WITH HIM.

In our life, there will be seasons for sowing and seasons for reaping. In other words, seasons of tests, work, of challenges will be followed by seasons where we will reap the fruits of our hard work.

Nobody starts at the top of the mountain and if you believe that because of your little prayers God will spare you the difficulties of life, you are fooling yourself: open your Bible! Peter, Paul, Moses, Abraham, and all the great people had their times of trials, but afterwards, they also experienced great blessings, far beyond what they were able to; imagine, what we will have to sow in our life, and the times of sowing can sometimes be difficult, painful, and very uncomfortable times, but without seed, there is no harvest…

The seed prepares the harvest and the tears prepare the joy. So if you are crying today, you may be in a sowing season: don’t let go, carry on, go on, crying yes but go on, because at the end of the season your harvest shall come with joy

ISAIAH 41:10 KJV “FEAR THOU NOT; FOR I AM WITH THEE: BE NOT DISMAYED; FOR I AM THY GOD: I WILL STRENGTHEN THEE; YEA, I WILL HELP THEE; YEA, I WILL UPHOLD THEE WITH THE RIGHT HAND OF MY RIGHTEOUSNESS.

He is our God, You belong to Him and He will constantly take care of you. He did not create us to be neglected; He did not send his only son to die on the cross of Calvary for us to perish.

It is quite the opposite. You would be amazed at how much God loves you and wants to bless you.

Even if we do not always understand why He allows such and such a situation, we have the assurance that He will never abandon us. In difficult times, we have nothing to fear because He watches over us as a loving father watches over his children.

When worry overtakes us, we can remain at peace: we are not on our own. He’s a Father who shoulders the needs of his children. He will ensure that you lack nothing and much more, He blesses you beyond all your expectations. Your best days are ahead and not behind, you haven’t seen anything yet of what God wants to do in your life.

But to see the happy ending, you have to go to the end of the film… So don’t stop watching in the middle, you risk missing out on God’s best plan for your life! Keep Moving and Keep Praying. Your Breakthrough is around the corner. Amen.
