Prayer For The New Year

Good day everyone and I am glad we all made it to the New Year. Today I will like to share the prayer for the New Year.

Despite all the difficulties and obstacles in the previous years. We prevailed, we won and conquered.

God has been good to us, we cannot deny that fact.

We have been given another chance to live right again and to constantly do the will of God, that is a great opportunity.

Before we go on, I would like to address some sub-topic, and then I will introduce the prayer for the New Year.

What Do You Pray For At The Beginning Of The New Year?

This is an essential question we need to ask ourselves as believers.

Most believers have unfinished projects from the previous year and carried them over into the New Year.

You have heard so many preachers telling you what to do in the New Year, which is pretty good.

The burden is on you to find out from God personally what to pray about.

While you are in the mood to ask and wait on the Holy Spirit, do this.

Begin by thanking God; thank God for all He has done from the time you were born until you are now of age.

Thank God for families, friends, professions, businesses, and anything else the Holy Spirit puts on your heart. So you should give thanks first.

Do not do it carnally, but let God see in your heart that you are genuinely thankful.

It can take 3 days or 1 week, praying with Bible verses, singing and rejoicing.

Show God that he has been good to you.

What Are The Good Bible Verses To Start The New Year?

Here are a few Bible verses to help you start the New Year. These Bible verses relate to all areas of your life.

From giving thanks to praying for mercy, to praying for God’s will, for grace and strength to move forward.

Be blessed as you engage with these Bible verses.

Lamentations 3:22-24 kjv

22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Isaiah 43:19 Kjv

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Philippians 4:4-7 Kjv

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 27:23 kjv

23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

Proverbs 3:5-6Kjv

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

1 Corinthians 15:56-57 Kjv

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 12:10 Kjv

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Timothy 1:7 Kjv

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

How Do I Pray And Seek God’s Plan?

As we all know, prayers are divided into different categories in terms of praying and seeking God’s plan for the year.

One thing you absolutely must do is to let the Holy Spirit guide you, allow Him to decide for you, and be obedient to His instructions at all times.

One thing we believers lack is discipleship and obedience to God’s instructions.

Put these three scriptures together.

Number 1:

Proverbs 20vs24 KJV: Man’s goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way?

Number 2:

Joshua 1vs8 kjv : This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Number 3: James 1vs22-23kjv:

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass

When we put these Bible passages together, we learn that God is the only one who can make the right choice for us.

Do not seek God’s plan outside the Word of God, outside the presence of God, by not doing what He has commanded us to do.

If you have followed these Bible verses completely, then you can pray:

Father, I do not know what the year holds for me, but I know the One who knows what will happen every day of the year.

Therefore, Father, I surrender to your will for my life. I promise not to walk in my own ways and seek my own life.

Give me fresh grace to obey, let all the fruits of the Spirit spring up afresh inside me, and give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Amen.

3 Powerful Prayers Point For The Year With Bible Reference

I am sure you have been blessed by this post so far. Remember, we are still on the subject of prayers for the New Year.

Not only do I want you to just pray, but I also want your mind to be open to some areas as you pray so that the best of the best from God can find you as you position yourself well.

As you position yourself for the year, give more thought to this prayer point.

Prayer Of Patience

Dear Reader, Patience is a very powerful virtue and weapon to win battles in life.

In this New Year, there will be some difficult situations that will require you to just relax and wait to hear from God before you act.

If you are not patient enough and allow the devil to push you into making certain decisions, I am afraid you may miss your blessings.

So stay alert in the spirit to hear God speaks before taking any decisions.

Romans 12vs kjv: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

James 5vs8 kjv : Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Ecclesiastes 7vs8 kjv: Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Prayer Of Wisdom

At all times and in your daily activities, you need the wisdom of God in your life to deal with situations, and to command changes that are outside this realm.

You need the wisdom of David as he stood up to Goliath and Saul.

Imagine a man anointed as king living in caves and running for his life because the king is trying to kill him.

David applied patience and wisdom from God to get to his place of fulfilment. Read 1& 2, Samuel.

We have so many examples in the Bible such as Father Abraham, Joseph, Esther, Abigail and our Jesus who is our perfect example.

The devil will not fold his hands and allow you, a child of God, to get to the place God has destined for you.

You must fight with prayer, patience and wisdom.

Proverbs 1vs7: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

James 1vs5 Kjv:If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 3vs13 kjv : Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Prayer Of Revelation.

The prayer of revelation will help you in your journey this year to discern what is good and what is bad.

The revelation you received through sin will not make you commit the same sin again.

It is the same as a personal encounter with God, one on one and without interference.

We call it divine guidelines for believers. Every child of God must know how God reveals things to him/her.

If you do not have that, wait on God with patience and wisdom and He will reveal to you the secrets of the Kingdom of God.

The Bible says in Psalm 84vs11 kjv: For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

So today I encourage you to walk upright in the truth and in complete submission to God this year, and he will beautify your life.

Amos 3vs7kjv: Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Deuteronomy 29vs29kjv: The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

1 Corinthians 14vs6kjv: But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you unless I speak to you either by revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching?

Prayer For The New Year

In closing, I am sure you have been blessed as you read. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to pray for yourself.

Tell God to crown you with His glory so that His face of mercy should shine upon you.

Pray that God will release his anointing so that you will work better for Him in all areas this year.

Call on the blood of Jesus to sanctify every day and every step you take this year.

The right contacts and people who will help you in life will come your way.

You will not be frustrated this New Year.

Little effort and more results will be your portion.

May the anointing for great things and winning souls for Christ rest upon you. Amen.

If you continue to pray and seek the face of God in all you do, He will surely help you.

Start the New Year with God and stand with Him! Be blessed.
